Sailor Moon R (R meaning Romance) is itself in two pieces.The first part (Episode 1-13) features two aliens and an energy-dependent alien tree.The second part (Episode 14-43) focuses around two things: Chibiusa, a little pink-haired Usagi lookalike who literally dropped out of the sky, and a family of time-traveling enemies out to stop Chibiusa and alter the future to their end. What I loved about this episode and rewatching it from the beginning is that I was reminded that Sailor Moon really is a super hero before she realizes her true destiny. She decides that she has to fight for the greater good and that she has to stop crimes.

Makaiju Arc[edit]

The Makaiju arc contained a storyline and a villain group unique to the anime. In this arc, the aliens Ail and An came to Earth and began stealing energy using Cardians to sustain their 'mother,' the Makaiju. In their human disguises, Ail and An also pursued Usagi and Mamoru, respectively.
This arc was created by Toei to allow the manga time to catch up with the anime. It had no correlation with any storyline from the manga, although it did introduce Sailor Moon's new transformation Moon Crystal Power, Make Up and attack Moon Princess Halation. Events in this arc were rarely referenced in later anime episodes, although some fans have suggested that Ail and An might be connected to the character of Fiore in the Sailor Moon R movie.

Offline Joined: Dec 2020 Posts: 2 | Lemme give a bit of backstory first, I explain my problem in the next paragraph. I recently decided to make a myanimelist account cos I felt like I was loosing track of most of the animes I'd watched over the last few years. Now, I've watched anime across a ton of different devices and platforms, some of which I don't possess anymore, so it's been rather difficult to find which animes I've watched, I somehow made a list of the ones I remember. While selecting sailor moon and sailor moon r, I noticed they both only have about 40 episodes each. I watched sailor moon and sailor moon r on watchcartoononline.io. The site unfortunately was taken down a while back, so it's impossible for me to check for sure. But my memory leads me to believe that I watched a DiC dubbed version of sailor moon r which had about 90 episodes. To make sure that I hadn't imagined watching sailor moon r, I watched the 43 episode (I think) version, and found that I had in fact watched till episode 26, but in my mind I remember watching till episode 70-something. Am I tripping or is there a chance some sites may have cut certain episodes into 2 which led to me watching a 90 episode version of a 43 episode anime. Thanks in advance. |

I don’t know if you watched maybe the first and second season together or maybe they were cut in half, but the episodes then would only be like 12 min long, which would be weird. Maybe they split it up to avoid copyright issues and stuff, idk. |
